All the feels! Brie Larson got nostalgic on Wednesday, March 23, on what may be the final leg of her promotional tour for Oscar-winning film Room, sharing a sweet tribute to the flick and costar Jacob Tremblay via Instagram.
“28 weeks ago (according to Instagram) @roomthemovie premiered at the #telluridefilmfestival,” she began the lengthy post. “After the screening @jacobtremblay and I toasted. He had chocolate milk and I had red wine.”
In the accompanying image, Larson, 26, and Tremblay, 9, sit at a fancy banquet in Japan with two raised glasses — according to Larson’s caption, his is filled with soda, and hers with sake.
“I remember feeling so vulnerable after sharing this movie with the world for the first time; unsure of what was to come,” she continued. “Last night marked what may be our final toast to this film. … Together we have traveled the globe, spent almost two years hanging out, playfully arguing about things like who can hold their breath longer and talking at length about Room.”
The Trainwreck actress added that the pair, who play a mother-son team in the dramatic film adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s haunting book about the duo being held in captivity, have kept each other afloat through the filming and media tours with laughter and patience.
“We picked each other up, answered for the other when one was tired and always kept silliness alive,” she wrote. “Thank you Room for bringing us together. Thank you Room for uniting us with the rest of the world. Thank you to everyone who shared this journey with us. I will never ever forget it.”
In February, first-time nominee Larson took home the best actress Oscar, beating out tough competition that included Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Saoirse Ronan and Charlotte Rampling.
Upon hearing her name announced, she instantly turned around to hug Tremblay (who should have been nominated for an Oscar as well, if you ask Us!) in the row behind her.
The pair was also caught on-camera taking a fun audience selfie together.
