Don’t mess with the Moretzes. Chloë Grace Moretz revealed that her brothers like to intimidate her boyfriends — even her current man, Brooklyn Beckham!
The Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star, 19, has four older brothers watching over her, but she doesn’t mind the extra attention. “They’re super protective, but I kind of like it,” she told James Corden on The Late Late Show on Wednesday, May 11. “I kind of like when a guy shows up at the door and then I have, like, four very macho men to be like, ‘Hey, what are you doing?’”
Earlier this month, the actress publicly confirmed her rekindled romance with Beckham, whom she called a “sweetie” and a “cutie,” by posting an adorable Instagram pic of the Brit kissing her head. The off-on pair were first rumored to be dating in 2014, but took a break in 2015.
Luckily, Beckham, 17, knows how to turn on the charm and won over the Moretz brothers — they’ve even been secretly texting. “They like him, so they’re nice to him now,” she said. “We were all at dinner the other night and I caught my boyfriend texting my brother. … Maybe it’s like, they’re intimidating each other on text message.”
Although they’re all buddies now, the If I Stay star is still pretty sure her siblings had a secret sit-down with Beckham at some point. “At the start it was like, ‘What’s he want? What’s he looking for?’ I’m like, guys, I’m the older woman,” she joked of their two-year age difference. “It’s OK here. I’m in control.”
