Rose Byrne: My Breast Milk Was Confiscated by the TSA

Well, this is awkward. Rose Byrne revealed that her breast milk was confiscated by the TSA during a Thursday, May 19, appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City.

The actress, 36 — who welcomed her first child, son Rocco, with partner Bobby Cannavale back in February — has been busy traveling as of late to promote her latest film Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.

While chatting with Stephen Colbert, 52, Byrne explained that juggling her jam-packed schedule with new motherhood has been a challenge, especially when it comes to getting herself through airport security.

“I’ve been doing a lot of traveling, too, so I’ve been taking my breast milk everywhere with me,” Byrne said as the talk show host shared a photo of the Aussie beauty holding a bottle of her breast milk, which was confiscated because it exceeded the 3 oz. limit.

“They wave this weird thing over the top of it, and there’s a whole production going on,” Byrne continued. “They take it very seriously that it could be something. I just stand there and smile and tell them that it’s really breast milk, and that it’s nothing.”

After Colbert told the Bridesmaids star that she should have pointed to her baby to prove that it was just breast milk in her bottle, Byrne joked, “‘He’s really real; he’s here. You want me to get ’em out? What do you think?’ I’m not going to do that. No, no, no!”
