Tyga Opens Up About His Age Difference With Kylie Jenner: ‘It’s Just Something I Have to Deal With’

Like water rolling off a duck’s back. Tyga opened up about his much-talked-about age difference with girlfriend Kylie Jenner in a recent interview with San Francisco radio station 106 KMEL, telling the DJ that he’s chosen not to pay any mind to the critics.

“I don’t know,” he said. “It’s hard to talk about that because people are gonna bash. I didn’t understand it though because I’m like, ‘This person is a really good person.’”

The “Rack City” rapper, 26, and Jenner, 18, first made their relationship public early last year, though the pair were rumored to be an item as early as October 2014, when Jenner was still 17.

“It’s almost like, the devil keeps trying to tell me something to not follow God, just let God do what he wanna do,” he continued. “So, I don’t really know how to speak on that because it’s just something I have to deal with. A lot of things in life, you just gotta deal with it as it comes.”

Tyga added that despite their age difference, Jenner’s life experiences balance out the eight years he has on her.

“Me being older than her, I’ve been through a lot more things so I can help her more with it even though she’s been more in tabloid media limelight than I have been,” he explained. “But I can see that because I know what type of person she is. I know what she deals with.”

The couple reportedly broke up briefly last November, but Jenner later clarified on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she and Tyga were “still together.”

And in January, Us Weekly exclusively reported that the rapper cheated on Jenner with Brazilian model Annalu Cardoso, which strained their very public relationship.

Their relationship has recently been put to the test again after Jenner’s half-brother Rob Kardashian started dating Tyga’s ex, Blac Chyna (the rapper and the model share a 3-year-old son, King, together).

Earlier in the week, Chyna appeared to shade Jenner and accuse her of being a copycat after the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star launched Cooking With Kylie.

Tyga quickly jumped to his girlfriend’s defense, however, sharing a SnapChat to make it clear where his allegiances lie.

“2016. Motherf–keys gotta stop acting like they invented every motherf–king thing out here,” the rapper blasted. “Everything’s already been done.”
