The plot thickens! Chris Brown shared a sweet video of his daughter, Royalty, dancing with Elmo at her 2nd birthday party on Instagram on Friday, May 13 — but he wasn’t happy with the Sesame Street character’s choice of music.
In the clip, the toddler, who officially turns 2 on May 27, twirls around in a polka-dot swimsuit while listening to Rihanna’s hit “Work.”
“ELMO TRIPPING wit the song selection,” the singer, 27, captioned the post. “NO SHADE. Where’s the Chris BROWN MUSIC. LOL.” He subsequently deleted the video, likely in response to criticism from some commenters.

Rihanna, 28, and Brown’s tumultuous relationship began in 2008. They split in February the following year after he brutally assaulted her just hours before they were scheduled to attend the Grammy Awards together. The pair reconciled in 2013, but their reunion only lasted a few months.
“I don’t hate him,” the Barbadian beauty told Vanity Fair in November 2015. “I will care about him until the day I die. We’re not friends, but it’s not like we’re enemies. We don’t have much of a relationship now.”
She added, “I was very protective of him. I felt that people didn’t understand him. Even after … But you know, you realize after a while that in that situation you’re the enemy. You want the best for them, but if you remind them of their failures, or you remind them of bad moments in their life, or even if you say I’m willing to put up with something, they think less of you — because they know you don’t deserve what they’re going to give.”
Brown also uploaded a video on Friday of himself and Royalty, who he shares with former fling Nia Guzman, swimming in the pool while Jack Ü and Justin Bieber’s “Where Are Ü Now” plays in the background.
It appears that Royalty is already following in her father’s footsteps. In a third clip, she belts “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen into Elmo’s microphone. “I think we got a little singer on our hands!” Brown captioned the video.
