Chrissy Teigen learned an important lesson while studying up on parenthood: Judgey mothers love hiding behind computers. “I used to read mommy blogs like crazy so I knew mommy shaming was a thing,” Teigen revealed on Tuesday, May 17, during an interview with Good Morning America. But the supermodel — who gave birth to daughter Luna on April 14 — wasn’t prepared for the internet to freak out, when she and husband John Legend left their 10-day-old baby with a babysitter so they could have a date night.

“I mean, we needed a break. We needed to go enjoy each other’s company and be out,” the Cravings cookbook author, 30, explained on GMA. “We were gone for an hour. We had a good meal together. I think happy mommy, happy daddy, happy baby.”

Legend took to Twitter on May 10 to defend his wife against online trolls. “Funny there’s no dad-shaming,” the “All of Me” singer, 37, wrote. “When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. We’ll split it.”

While the Grammy winner gets an A in marriage, his baby-songwriting skills could use some work. “We tried to think of a bath-time song … but that’s winning no awards. It’s horrible,” Teigen cracked on GMA. “He’s used to something a little deeper. We need to get him into children’s books a little more.”
