Trouble in paradise? Vanessa breaks down in tears when asked about her current status with husband Tres in Married at First Sight‘s Tuesday, March 8, season 3 reunion, as seen in a preview clip.
The footage shows Vanessa’s interview with Dr. Pepper Schwartz, who asks about the couple’s friction during the season, particularly in the episode when Tres made it clear to one of Vanessa’s friends that the pair are not ready to use the L-word.
“You just have to be very aware of what you want in a partner,” Vanessa tells the sociologist. “Even with Tres and I, I could see places where we balanced each other out, but it felt like when we noticed our differences, we didn’t see them as assets — we saw them as roadblocks.”
Schwartz then asks Vanessa if she and Tres have remained together in the six months since decision day, and Vanessa gets emotional. The pair were the only one of the three couples to opt to stay married in the season 3 finale.
