Professor Geller, is that you? One Friends fan got the chance of a lifetime to prank an unfortunate soul who texted them, thinking they were someone else, and their exchange has gone viral online.

The epic nostalgia-inducing chat started when Sasha, the texter in question, sent a simple “Ross!” to someone she assumed was her friend.

“What’s up man. Just at paleontology lecture right now,” the trolling texter responded as the hit sitcom’s paleontologist, Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer. “I had to rollerblade to make it on time though.”

The student, clearly unaware of the joke being played on her, responded with several taco emojis and a plea: “I need ur help.”

At this point, the recipient of the erroneous text decided to have some fun.

“Sure. Meet up at Central Perk in 5 min. I hope Gunther isn’t there,” the jokester wrote. “He’s always way too friendly with Rachel. I’m on the couch. Where you at chandler?”

On the hit ‘90s series, Ross and his gang of friends frequented a coffee shop called Central Perk. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) was his off-again, on-again love interest, and Gunther (James Michael Tyler) was the barista who had an unrequited crush on her.

The banter continued for several back-and-forths with Sasha, who was seemingly unaware of the prank. At one point, Sasha asked for the notes from class, offering a paltry $5 for the help.

“As a college professor I cannot condone this. It is academic fraud!!” the texter wrote. “What would happen when I lost my job? Where would my son Ben and daughter Emma get food? Rachel would leave me again and go to Paris for good!!! She would probably take Emma with her!”

The texter finally admitted to the shenanigans, but couldn’t resist one last laugh.

“Let me get a selfie,” Sasha wrote.

The texter replied with a screen grab of Ross holding a dinosaur egg.
