Master of the bold suit Eddie Redmayne and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, attended the London premiere of the actor’s new film, The Danish Girl, on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and let’s be real: They served up all kinds of couple style goals.
Fabulous as always, Oscar-winner Redmayne, 33, rolled up in a red plaid Valentino suit teamed with a more traditional white button-up, black skinny tie, and black shoes.
Meanwhile, his wife of almost one year rocked the trend of the season: the semi-sheer black dress (also Valentino). The peekaboo nature of the skirt offered flashes of her slender physique, while the lace details added romance perfect for a party.
And most importantly: Not only did they look wonderfully holiday ready, they complemented each other, too!

All of that said, we do realize that not every man is up for head-to-toe plaid. (It takes a pro, gents; we understand.) If that’s the case, we recommend donning a solid suit and adding a plaid accent, like a pocket square, a tie, or even socks. Much more subtle, but just as festive.
