Every girl needs a father. Farrah Abraham’s daughter, Sophia, has never met her dad, Derek Underwood, who died in a tragic car accident at age 18 in 2008, two months before the little girl’s birth. In a new teaser for the upcoming episode of Teen Mom OG, the 6-year-old makes her desire for a dad known while on her way to see his family in Missouri.
“I wish Daddy Derek didn’t die. Why can Simon not be my daddy?” the little girl asks her mom, referring to the reality personality’s most recent boyfriend, Simon Saran.
After Abraham, 24, explains that their relationship had ended, Sophia demands to have a father figure.
“But I want a daddy! I want a daddy now! Daddy!” she insists, later putting her head in her mom’s lap. “Daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy! I want a dad! I want a dad! Daddy, daddy!”
The young mother, who has gone on to become an adult entertainer with her own line of sex toys, starts to cry as Sophia continues to plead. “OK, you need to stop!”
Though the little girl wants a dad, what Sophia may get instead is a new sibling. The Teen Mom OG star confirmed to Us Weekly last month that she’s looking into growing her family by adopting a child.
“I’m happy to confirm I’m moving forward in my adoption process,” she told Us at the time. “This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family. Very excited, and this feels so right.”
