“I work out every day but Sunday, unless I have a race,” the Red Bull athlete says in a new video. “I’m a sprinter, and I need power and strength. So to get me through those tough days, I just tell myself, ‘OK, just put on your shoes and then just go to the gym.’ And I guarantee, once you get in that environment and you see other people working out and going after their goals, you’ll get something done.”

She’s certainly going after her goals — and from the looks of the video below, where she shows off her strong body as well as the work it takes to get it, she isn’t taking any shortcuts.

“Nobody’s happy to work out,” she admitted behind the scenes of the video shoot, where she did pushups, dead lifts and squats with weights. “You’re happy when you finish … I’m just like everybody else. There are days when I don’t want to get out of bed and other times when I want to work out.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum is currently training for her fourth Olympics this summer. She competed in Beijing in 2008, London in 2012 and then Sochi in 2014 — and has left without a medal each time, coming closest in 2012 when she got fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.

“I’m not going to let a failure defeat me,” the two-time indoor world champion in the 60-meter hurdles says. “And I always use my failures as motivation to just get through and push past.”
