The confessional vlog-style series launched in 2006 and attracted millions of viewers during the two years that it ran on the video-sharing website. It later gained worldwide attention after it was revealed to be scripted by filmmakers Mesh Flinders, Miles Beckett and Greg Goodfried.

Lonelygirl15 followed the everyday life of a teenager named Bree, played by Jessica Lee Rose. The New Zealand actress later took home the Webby Award for Best Actress for her role in the series.

The new video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, June 16, starts with Bree saying, “Did you think that because they were quiet this was over? Isn’t that when you’re supposed to worry, when the guys in suits and symbols disappear all at once? They didn’t go anywhere, kids. You did. The world doesn’t just freeze when you close your eyes.”

She continues, “I know, you’ve got a lot of questions. Questions deserve answers. It’s the only thing that satisfies them and I have many. But are you here? Or am I talking to myself? I guess you could say I’m the lonely girl now.”

The cryptic clip, which already has more than 443,000 views, hints that the web series might continue as a sequel, but doesn’t give any specific details other than Bree’s mysterious “we might see more of each other” comment.

“And if you do show up, I promise, soon enough, we’ll have plenty to talk about,” she adds. “But for now … This should keep you occupied.”
