Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Bans His Daughter Kyra, 20, From Social Media After Cyberbullying Incident

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was forced to shut down his 20-year-old daughter Kyra’s Instagram and Snapchat after she allegedly cyberbullied New York Magazine writer Allie Jones. According to Page Six, the trolling began when Jones penned a post mocking a New York Times piece about Kennedy and her wealthy friends, entitled “Move Over, Rat Pack and Brat Pack: Here Comes the Snap Pack.”

In the New York Times profile, Kennedy’s fashion designer pal Andrew Warren, 23, waxes about the importance of his party pics. “I like to take photos, but I’m not a bad person,” he mused. “I’ve had a cancer patient D.M. me on Instagram and say, ‘Your Instagram snaps give me hope.’ She said I inspire her and I make her want to keep going every day so she can have a fun life.”

On April 6 — the same day the New York Times piece ran — Jones wrote a blog post called “Rich NYC Party Kids Just Trying to Inspire Others.” Her takedown begins: “Today the New York Times’ ‘Style’ section brings us a delightfully nauseating look into the lives of New York City’s ‘Snap Pack’ a group of wealthy 22-year-olds who are doing a lot with their personal Instagram and Snapchat accounts. Some of them may already be familiar to you if you’re a devoted New York Magazine reader. There’s RFK Jr.’s daughter Kyra Kennedy, of “I am a Kennedy, Google me” fame, Stephanie Seymour’s son Peter Brant Jr., who was arrested last week after getting into a drunken scuffle at JFK airport, and Donald Trump’s least favorite daughter, Tiffany.

Kennedy didn’t take well to the teasing. “I can play games too bitch,” she reportedly wrote in a since-deleted comment on Jones’ Instagram feed. She added: “clearly taking your insecurities out on others. We can play too.” Warren allegedly mocked Jones’ size, writing, “Large N In Charge.”

Jones then wrote another post, “I’m Being Cyberbullied on Instagram by a Kennedy.” According to the New York Post, Kennedy’s dad, RFK, Jr., intervened and she quickly deleted the comments. “Mr. Kennedy has spoken to Kyra and informed his daughter that their family does not bully people,” a rep for the author and attorney told Page Six. “He has instructed her to shut down all of her social media accounts immediately.”

Kennedy’s stepmother is Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines.
