Not of this world! NFL hunk Aaron Rodgers claimed in a new interview that he saw a UFO in New Jersey back in 2005, and naturally, his account has gone totally viral.

"I saw an unidentified flying object in the sky in New Jersey in 2005,” the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 32, told comedian Pete Holmes on Nerdist's "You Made It Weird" podcast posted Wednesday, March 23. Rodgers recalled how he was preparing himself for the NFL draft back in February 2005, and was staying with the family of his UC Berkeley teammate Steve Levy.

During his stay at the Levy home, an odd incident occurred one night, he said. "We were winding down at dinner, and then there was a weird siren in the distance, so we go outside — it was a snowy night — and we went outside, and it was one of those bright nights, where it's overcast," Rodgers recalled. "But there's enough light from the moon to see things, and the next thing you know, we saw something in the sky."

The Super Bowl champ was convinced that he knew what he was looking at. "It was a large, orange, left-to-right-moving object,” the athlete recalled. "Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn’t make out — it was behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right … Again, it was 12:30 at night. It was me, Steve and his brother that saw it."

Rodgers said they couldn't believe what had transpired. "It goes out of sight, and we look at each other and go, 'What in the … was that?'" he recalled. "You could hear it moving. When it had been out of sight for, like, 30 seconds — and when I say 30 seconds, it felt like five minutes at the time. We were kind of in shock."

The trio then heard fighter jets fly by, which Rodgers looked into after the incident. "If you know anything about UFO sightings or if you've done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings," said the QB, who's currently dating Olivia Munn. "One is the presence of fighter jets. And two, there's a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the alarm we heard was from 30 miles out, was a nuclear power plant that had an alarm that went off."
