Mystique problems! Jennifer Lawrence often used shaving cream to remove her X-Men body paint, which never sat well with Nicholas Hoult. The Oscar winner joked about what her ex thought about her smelly routine during recent a fan screening of X-Men: Apocalypse in London.
“It is really good for taking paint off, but Nick used to hate it because I would come home smelling like a man and, like, too tired,” Lawrence, 25, recalled to Extra’s AJ Calloway on Monday, May 9. “I was like, ‘Don’t touch me, I’m too tired,’ and he was like, ‘You smell like a dude.'”
Lawrence and the British actor, 26, met on set of 2011’s X-Men: First Class and went on to work together in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. They previously called it quits in January 2013 after two years of dating, but rekindled their romance in July 2013. They split for good in August 2014, thanks to their “difficult schedules,” according to one source.
“They just weren’t together a lot, her life is a whirlwind. They have gotten back together before, it just got to be too hard for now,” the insider told Us Weekly at the time.
Following the split, Lawrence dated Coldplay’s Chris Martin for nearly a year in 2015. Now, the actress is happily single.
“I’m not even looking,” she told Calloway on Monday. “I’m good.”
