According to the report, officers visited Millan's training facility in Santa Clarita, California, on Thursday, March 10, although according to NBC4, the TV personality was out of town on a business trip.

The complaint reportedly stems from a recent episode of Millan's show Cesar 911 in which a live pig was used in a behavioral training session with a dog who had recently attacked two other pet pigs. The dog bit the pig's ear, drawing blood, before it could be subdued.

Nat Geo WILD, which broadcasts the show, addressed the incident in a statement, recognizing the clip "caused some concern for viewers who did not see or understand the full context of the encounter."

"The pig that was nipped by Simon [the dog] was tended to immediately afterward, healed quickly and showed no lasting signs of distress,” the statement continued.

“Cesar and his animal pack effectively helped Simon to overcome his aggressive behavior toward other animals; as a result, Simon did not have to be separated from his owner or euthanized.”
