Bad times in Litchfield. Tensions reach a fever pitch among the inmates after new faces join the fray in Orange Is the New Black‘s fourth season, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive trailer. The Netflix dramedy’s new batch of episodes debuts Friday, June 17.
Picking up where season 3 left off, the Emmy-winning prison series’ promo shows Litchfield Penitentiary dealing with an influx of new prisoners, leading to increased conflict between the guards and the convicts, not to mention among the inmates themselves.
“I’ve been in Litchfield for a while now,” Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) says to someone who is off-camera. “And I have started to feel unsafe lately.”
Another scene shows an emotional moment between Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) and Big Boo (Lea DeLaria).
“You know the difference between pain and suffering?” asks Pennsatucky, who was the victim of sexual assault within the prison in a season 3 episode. “Pain’s always there, but suffering is a choice.”
