Nahla, meet Maceo. Maceo, Nahla. Halle Berry and husband Olivier Martinez have picked a name for their tiny bundle of joy, whom they welcomed on Saturday, Oct. 5, and it's definitely one for the books.
A source confirms to Us Weekly that the proud parents have indeed decided to name their son Maceo Robert Martinez — Maceo meaning "Gift of God." (TMZ first reported the name).
According to the site, the tot's moniker is a tribute to Martinez's father, whose first name is Robert (Maceo is the Spanish version of Matteo or Matthew).
The couple's name choice may also be a tip of the hat to famous soul and funk sax player Maceo Parker, who was James Brown's right-hand man throughout the 60s.
Berry, 47, is already mother to daughter Nahla, 5, with her ex Gabriel Aubry.
The happy mother and baby left the hospital on Monday, Oct. 7, a source tells Us.
She and Frenchman Martinez, also 47, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Vallery, France, this past summer, exchanging vows in front of around 60 guests and partying "long into the night" afterward.
"I feel really happy," Berry told reporters earlier this year at the 20th annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women of discovering she was pregnant. "It's one of the best things that happened in my life, for sure."
