The middle-school sweethearts are getting married! Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey is engaged to makeup artist Seana Gorlick after 10 years of dating, the actor confirmed to Us Weekly during the Variety Power of Youth event in Universal City, Calif., on Saturday, July 27. "I've been wanting to ask her to marry me for years now and I finally did it," Posey, 21, revealed. "It's everything I've wanted to do. I finally feel like myself."
(Gorlick accompanied her future husband to the event, proudly showing off her diamond engagement ring. Posey was honored for his work with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; his mother is a three-year cancer survivor.)
Posey popped the question at the beginning of their 12-day trip to Hawaii. "I didn't know if I was going to do it — I didn't have a plan or anything," he said. During their first night, the pair were talking before dinner when Posey decided to pull the sparkler out of a drawer. "I was so damn nervous," he recalled. "I just asked her and it was the coolest thing int he world. Her reaction was the sweetest — I can't even explain it!"
The proposal had been a long time coming for the star, who memorably played Jennifer Lopez's son in the 2002 rom-com Maid in Manhattan. "I've known her since I was 11 and been in love with her since I was 12," he said of Gorlick. "I'm so inspired by her. I think she's the coolest, most raddest person ever. She's so nice and so cute."
Shortly before their trip, Posey hinted that he might be asking Gorlick for her hand in marriage while chatting with Us at the Saturn Awards in Burbank, Calif. "I just want to be married to her — I want to be with her forever!" he admitted. When the topic of rings came up, the California native got tight-lipped: "She's standing behind me," he said, "so I'm going to keep that for private!"
