Carrie Underwood‘s performance in The Sound of Music Live! has already been reviewed by one original cast member, but she (and the rest of the world) are still waiting to find out what leading lady Julie Andrews thought of the remake. And it looks like she’ll have to wait a little longer.

Andrews — who played Maria von Trapp in the 1965 film adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s iconic musical — spoke with USA Today at the Dec. 9 premiere of Saving Mr. Banks, where she admitted she hadn’t yet watched Underwood’s live TV version. But it’s on her to-do list.

“Alas, I did not [see it]. I had a speaking engagement and I couldn’t,” the 78-year-old Oscar winner said. “But my kids did record it. I’ll get around to it.”

Let’s hope she’s happier with it than her former costar Kym Karath (Gretl von Trapp). Karath tweeted that she was “mystified & disappointed” by The Sound of Music Live!, and said she thought Underwood had been miscast.

“Love Carrie Underwood but this role is just not right for her,” the actress wrote. “She is lovely, her voice is beautiful, but acting is wrong.”

Andrews, for her part, said at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in October that she supported the project — and its new star.

“I think she’s great,” the Mary Poppins actress said. “It’s going to be the original show, I believe, and I think after 40 or 50 years, it’s probably time somebody else had a crack at it.”
