Jennifer Love Hewitt is taking care of herself — and her baby — as she awaits the arrival of her firstborn child with fiance Brian Hallisay. The pregnant actress, 34, was photographed exercising at a park in L.A. on Thursday, Aug. 8. During the hour-long session with a personal trainer, The Client List star lifted weights and performed squats on an inflatable ball.
Hewitt dressed her baby bump in a tight gray tank top. The rest of her look included purple yoga pants, Nike sneakers, a baseball hat and a sweater tied around her waist. “I’ve been doing yoga and some Pilates and working out with a trainer, doing cardio and weights and stuff so my arms are strong to hold baby,” she told Us Weekly at an Old Navy event July 13. “I’ve been working out, which I feel happy about. That’s been a good thing — not something that I thought I’d be able to do because you just feel like you have to be careful with yourself, so that’s been great.”
Us Weekly broke the news of Hewitt’s pregnancy and engagement in June. Since then, the bubbly brunette has been relaxing at home in California. “Life is good — it’s busy! Lots of big changes and things going on,” she said. “It’s a really happy, positive time, which I’m grateful for.”
Hewitt has already begun asking her fellow mommy friends for parenting advice. Their best tip? “Just to be human versus superhuman,” she shared. “I think most people, when they’re getting ready to be a mom, they go, ‘Oh my gosh, I have to have all of the answers right now,’ but every kid is different, every parent is different and every child and parent relationship is different, so you just sort of have to wait until you’re in it and do the best that you can to try to zen in the middle of it all.”

As far as wedding plans go, Hewitt pointed to her bump and joked, “We have this to deal with for now!”
