Will she wear orange? Orange Is the New Black premiered its third season this past Thursday, and as it turns out, that’s not the only exciting news series regular Lea DeLaria has to share. The actress, who plays Big Boo on Netflix’s prison smash, is hard at work planning her wedding to girlfriend Chelsea Fairless, and dished to Page Six about the couple’s wedding planning.
“Sandra Bernhard is going to marry us because she’s a really good pal,” the comedienne, 57, said. “It’s going to be in New York, but we’re still trying to find the spot!”
Regardless of where they say their “I dos,” DeLaria and her partner, a fashion editor, will make sure their nuptials rival any other celebrity wedding. “We’re going to do a night wedding and we’re going to go right to the dancing,” DeLaria said. “We’re not doing a sit-down dinner. We’ll have Mexican trucks . . . stuff like that.”
The couple, who plan to wed in the summer or fall of next year, announced their engagement on Facebook in February. “Yes bitches I am engaged,” the actress/singer told fans. “No date has been set for the impending nuptials, but it’s safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or a total s–t show.”
