Jake Gyllenhaal has the approval of Alyssa Miller's father — and they haven't even met yet! The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model's dad, Craig Miller, told Celebuzz that his daughter couldn't be happier in her new relationship with the actor and he's thrilled for her.
"I haven't met him yet, but he must be a great guy," Craig said. "If she's happy, I'm happy. If she thinks he's a good guy, then he's a good guy."
A source confirmed to Us Weekly in June that Gyllenhaal, 32, and Alyssa, 24, were dating after meeting at their gym. The two took their romance public in NYC on July 14 when they were photographed holding hands. (Gyllenhaal has previously dated singer Taylor Swift and actress Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon.)
"I'm not really surprised," Craig said of the Source Code actor dating his daughter. "She's phenomenal looking and a great person so anyone is lucky to be dating her."
Craig said his daughter hasn't shared too much information with him about her new man, explaining, "She's still young and shy." But added, "She sounded really happy and so ecstatic. I haven't heard her this happy in a long time . . . She's really excited about the relationship and she has a new agency. So she feels on top of the world."
