Gorgeous! Rita Wilson walked the red carpet at the 2015 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7, her first red carpet appearance since she underwent treatment for breast cancer this past April.

The Good Wife actress, 58, announced this spring that she got a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She took time off from her role in Larry David‘s Fish in the Dark on Broadway to heal and recover, and made her grand return to the red carpet on Sunday evening.

Wilson looked happy and healthy at the star-studded event, held at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. She sparkled in a black figure-hugging Tom Ford gown, which featured cutouts at the collarbone and sequined embellishments.

The beloved star wore her brunette locks pulled back and paired her eye-catching number with drop earrings and peep-toe black heels. While her husband Tom Hanks was absent from the Tonys, Wilson found a date in her stepson Colin Hanks.

The Girls alum took to Twitter to share a photo of herself with Colin, Tom’s son with late first wife Samantha Lewes. “.@ColinHanks , my son, and I @TheTonyAwards Just sat down! Great seats!” Wilson wrote

Colin, 37, also posted a photo from the Tonys, tweeting a sweet shot of himself with his stepmother and writing, “I got to go to the Tonys as this lady’s date. Much fun was had.”

Wilson shared the news of her illness as a precautionary tale to fans, saying in a statement to Us Weekly that she went for a second opinion after she wasn’t feeling well.

“Last week, with my husband by my side, and with the love and support of family and friends, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction for breast cancer after a diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma,” Wilson said in the April statement. “I am recovering and most importantly, expected to make a full recovery. Why? Because I caught this early, have excellent doctors and because I got a second opinion.”

Wilson, who went on to explain her journey with doctors and subsequent treatment, added in the statement, “I feel blessed to have a loving, supportive husband, family, friends, and doctors and that I am the beneficiary of advances in the field of breast cancer and reconstruction. I am getting better every day and look forward to renewed health. I hope this will encourage others to get a second opinion and to trust their instincts if something doesn’t ‘feel’ right.”
