Star dads are just like Us: They love displaying their kids’ latest artwork! Taye Diggs, however, is a dad who took that quite literally and didn’t just hang up 5-year-old Walker’s scribbles on the fridge, but instead got them inked on his arm. “It’s my ‘Walker arm,'” the Murder in the First actor revealed in a HuffPost Live interview on Monday, June 8.

Commemorating his son’s 2010 birthday with ink reading ‘WALK’ on his left forearm, Diggs, 44, kept up his very public art display in recent months. “My little dude wrote ‘I love Daddy’ a couple of months ago. It’s going to be there forever – it’s my favorite tattoo,” Diggs said of the childish scrawl drawn with the D’s backwards.

Walker, whose mom is Diggs’ ex-wife Idina Menzel, is also a budding artist, as his dad showed off. “He also drew dinosaurs: ‘Sharp Eye’ and ‘Little Tooth,’ because he’s crazy about them,” the star said.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping in 2014, Diggs said his son is skipping sports in favor of staying inside with his dinosaur figurines. The only way he’ll play sports is if we pretend the ball is a dinosaur egg,” he told the mag. “‘You’ve got to get the egg to the mother!’ He has to act it out.”
