Father to father! Scott Disick is going through a hard time as the birth of his third child with Kourtney Kardashian approaches, and on Sunday, May 3’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, he gets some parenting advice from his girlfriend’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner.
The Olympic gold medalist, who recently opened up to Diane Sawyer about his struggle to come to terms with his transgender identity, went to dinner with stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian and Disick. When Khloe told a cute story about nephew Mason, Jenner wondered why Disick wasn’t involved more.
“Auntie Khloe is great, but it’s important that their dad’s around,” Jenner, 65, told Disick, 31. “The other day when we were over at the house we kept looking for you and you were, like, gone,” he continued, asking why Disick — who has been struggling with drinking — wasn’t there.
Jenner admitted in an unaired clip from his ABC News special that he wasn’t there for his four oldest biological children from his first two marriages. Burt, 36, Casey, 34, Brandon, 33, and Brody, 31, said they have since forgiven him. “The big, formative years for them, I was really struggling with these issues,” the reality star told Sawyer. “I talked to all of the boys about this after the fact, that, yeah, I didn’t do a good job. And I apologized to my kids for that.”
“I definitely go in and out of happy and dark places in my life,” Disick said later. “I wish that I could be a little bit more consistent and I wish it was a little bit easier for me to be under control, but it’s not. It’s something I’ve always wanted to change; it’s just not as simple as people think.”
