Hot Halloween couple! Adam Levine and fiancee Behati Prinsloo came up with a sexy couples costume for Halloween 2013. The 34-year-old singer and 24-year-old Victoria's Secret model dressed up as characters from the 1999 Stanley Kubrick-directed drama film Eyes Wide Shut, starring former real-life spouses Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
The couple was spotted holding hands while dressed in their costumes while heading to a Halloween costume in L.A. on Thursday. Levine wore a black tux with dramatic black eye makeup. Prinsloo's ensemble was much more revealing with a nude top and black lingerie underwear, which she accessorized with a black cape and large feather mask.
In the movie Eyes Wide Shut, married couple Dr. Bill Hartford (Cruise) and Alice Harford (Kidman) go on a night-long adventure to a masked orgy hosted by a secret society after Alice reveals she almost cheated. (As it happens, the film was the final Kidman-Cruise collaboration, and they divorced in 2001.
During an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, Oct. 28, Levine revealed his Eyes Wide Shut Halloween costume plans with host Jay Leno. "Creepy masquerade thing," he described of their look. "It's going to be really creepy and awesome."
While he had the opportunity, Leno also called out The Voice mentor on getting engaged after he had sworn off marriage. "I remember talking to you one time, you telling me you were never going to get married, and now you're engaged," Leno said. "Tell me what happened here."
"Famous last words: 'I'll never get married,'" Levine said with a laugh. "You know, I still don't necessarily think you have to get married, unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it's wonderful."
The Maroon 5 rocker announced he was engaged to the model in July 2013. The twosome began dating in May 2012, but broke one year later. Levine then started dating supermodel Nina Agdal right up until his proposal to Prinsloo. A source told Us Weekly, "Adam just went MIA on Nina and stopped answering her calls. He finally told her about Behati in a text message."
Levine told Leno that he is "working on" setting a date with Prinsloo for the wedding.
