Y'all just got Daft Punk'd! Viewers were momentarily confused when electronic music duo Daft Punk "showed up" at the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 6.

It actually turned out to be cohosts Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, who simply could not keep the signature helmets on their heads without gasping for air.

"Where the hell is Pharrell at? He's supposed to be here to announce the nominees," yelled Shelton, who huddled over in pain after removing his silver-plated headset. "How the hell are you supposed to get lucky in that thing?"

Bryan, clad in Daft Punk's signature tuxedos and studded gloves, asked incredulously after removing his helmet. "I couldn't even breathe!" (Pharrell worked with Daft Punk on their smash hit, "Get Lucky," and their 2014 Grammy-winning album of the year, Random Access Memories.)

Along with name-droppping Pharrell, the second-time consecutive ACM hosts playfully took jabs at numerous peers in the music industry, including fellow country crooners Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, and even pop princess Britney Spears.

"If you don't like live music, then you need to go down the block and see Britney Spears," Shelton said at one point, even with Jamie Lynn Spears in the audience. The Voice judge also mocked John Travolta's "Adele Dazeem" flub by referring to Bryan at one point as "Bluke Lyron!"
