She's been deemed one of the world's most beautiful women, so who wants in on Jennifer Connelly's beauty secrets?
The actress and mother-of-three shares with Redbook how she maintains a skin-care routine that helps prevent aging — and it started in her early 20s.
"I was working a lot and wearing makeup," says the 42-year-old beauty and Hollywood veteran, who has been modeling since age 10. Her routine today, however, involves very minimal use of makeup and intense cleansing routines, one for morning and one for night. The face of Shiseido uses the brand's Future Solution LX line, which includes its serum and skin softener.
Like any actress, Connelly also knows the key to preventing wrinkles is lathering on SPF daily, while she gratuitously comments on her famous, bold brows: “I don’t fill them in. They’re pretty much as they come, but I wrangle them slightly with tweezers.” The brunette actress, who recently chopped her signature long locks admits she hesitated "for about 15 years" before opting for a new, shorter cut.
The Oscar Award-winning talent, who can boast of more than 30 years of modeling and acting experience in films like A Beautiful Mind and Blood Diamond, says that when she does think of aging, it's only "to wonder what we [as a family] want out of life." She adds, "I don't want to put happiness off to the future, because you never know what life will bring. As I get older, I have a clearer sense of what's important to me."
Connelly is married to British actor Paul Bettany. The couple wed in 2003 and have two kids together, Agnes, 2, and Stellan, 10. She also shares son Kai, 15, with photographer ex David Dugan.
