Planted and bloomed! Jessica Simpson’s mom, Tina Simpson, is engaged to her boyfriend Jon Goldstein, multiple sources confirm exclusively to Us Weekly. Goldstein, whom Tina brought as her date to Jessica’s wedding to Eric Johnson last July, is a high-end landscaper and owns Johnny Appleseed Landscaping, the company responsible for properties including the Bel-Air Hotel.
“He’s a really nice guy,” a friend of Goldstein's tells Us. “He’s always cared about Tina…He’s known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He's so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while."
Tina and Goldstein were first photographed together at Jessica’s July 4, 2014, nuptials at San Ysidro Ranch, where they stayed together in a cottage.
As for daughters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, they are equally ecstatic for their mom, who was previously married to Joe Simpson for 34 years. “They’re happy that their mom is happy,” another source tells Us.
Papa Joe and Tina finalized their divorce in April 2013. "It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false,” a rep for the family told Us in a statement at the time.
