After-party pals? Jared Leto decided to share a picture of himself posing at a Golden Globes after-party with Taylor Swift on Monday, Jan. 13. The 42-year-old Dallas Buyers Club actor posed for photographers with his arm around the 24-year-old country singer.
"Me. Taylor Swift. Golden Globes. xo," he captioned the snapshot on Instagram. The Thirty Seconds to Mars rocker and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" crooner both attended the 2014 InStyle and Warner Bros' Golden Globes after-party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Jan. 12.
In the photo, Best Supporting Actor winner Leto, clad in a Saint Laurent tux and sported a talked-about man-bun, holds his Golden Globes award and warps his arm around Swift's waist. Leaning in close, Swift gives a slight smile to photographers while showing off her slim figure in a sexy black Julien MacDonald dress.
Daily Beast reporter Marlow Stern also posted a snapshot on Twitter of Leto leaning in and whispering into Swift's ear. "Golden Globe winner Jared Leto chatting up Taylor Swift at @InStyle #GoldenGlobes afterparty (Photo: Me)," Stern captioned the photo.
Though the photos seem innocent enough, inevitable dating rumors quickly began swirling. Stern, however, slammed the speculation on Twitter, writing on Jan. 14, "Taylor Swift and Jared Leto chatted for maybe 5 minutes at that #GoldenGlobes party . . . That = just talking."
Leto was previously engaged to Cameron Diaz, but ended their four-year relationship in 2003. Swift's famous ex-boyfriends include John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles.
