According to the site, the photographer — who was taken to the hospital after the incident — had hired notorious attorney Gloria Allred to represent him in the case against West, 36, alleging that he was injured in the sidewalk scuffle.

If found guilty of the charges, West could face a maximum of one year in prison, the site reports.

On July 19, the rapper was by the Tom Bradley International Terminal arrivals exit when he allegedly tried to steal a photographer's camera after a group of paparazzi started snapping photos.

"Kanye is fine," a source close to West told Us at the time. "He didn't hurt the pap. They were just heckling him as usual. Kanye went to grab the camera and the guy fell being so dramatic."

The rapper and new dad, to 4-month-old daughter North, will be arraigned on Oct. 10.
