How cute are the bride and groom-to-be!? After confirming their engagement on Sept. 4, Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac stepped out in Paris for a romantic dinner date on Saturday, Sept. 7. The 28-year-old actress held her French journalist fiance's arm while going for an evening stroll before hopping on a scooter together.
Johansson dressed casually in a leather jacket, tight black pant, boots, thick-framed glasses and her hair pulled back for the outing. Dauriac coordinated with his bride-to-be in a light jacket, dark jeans, sneakers and backwards hat.
Whether she liked it or not, Johansson's engagement has been put in the spotlight as she promotes her new film, Under the Skin. Rumors first began to spread after Johansson hit the red carpet of the 2013 Venice International Film Festival wearing a diamond wearing an unmissable diamond ring on her left finger on Sept. 3. Her rep soon issued a statement to Us Weekly about the nuptial news: "I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven't chosen a date for the wedding."
During an interview with ET Canada before her film's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Johansson was asked if it was the "best or worst timing for getting engaged?"
"My friend was like, 'Congrats on timing,'" she shared. "Things work out the way they do, maybe it's better just to get it out the way."
Johansson, who was previously wed to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, has been dating Dauriac for around 10 months. It's been a "whirlwind romance," an insider told Us . After her divorce from Reynolds, Johansson dated actor Sean Penn and ad exec Nate Naylor before meeting Dauriac.
