There will be no "Hoedown Throwdown" between Miley Cyrus and Beyonce.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer doesn't want to start off 2014 with any beefs, so she's setting the record straight about one which was brewin' between herself and Queen Bey. It stems from some stinging comments attributed to Miley from an interview in the February issue of U.K.'s Love magazine. (You know — the one with Miley rocking the pink Mohawk on the cover.)
According to online reports, Liam Hemsworth's ex-fiancee said, "Beyonce has been a big inspiration to me but she's been out for such a long time. She's so talented and I think she's at the top of the game now but people are always looking for new blood and that's what I bring to the game now, new blood. I got the total package you know, the curves, the rhythm, and the voice. I'm just the best."
OK — we can see Miley calling herself "the best" and saying people are looking for "new blood," but it gets worse. She supposedly dissed Jay Z's leading lady's famous curves, which we know Bey has worked hard for, slimming down from 165 pounds to 130 after giving birth to Blue Ivy nearly two years ago.
"As Beyonce grows in motherhood and all the crap it does to your body, it will create a vacuum for fresh young faces to rise up and no one else can properly fill that void right now," the 21-year-old allegedly said. "I'm the only white female singer that could fill that slot right now and do it right, you know? I'm just the total package, you know? All things must start and end and I hope to have the same success as other icons in the game when my run is over. But for now, my run is just starting."
Meow, right? Well, just as the quotes were blowing up online (and before Team Bey could respond), Miley took to Twitter and flat-out proclaimed the quotes are wrong, using some salty language to get her point across.

And she didn't stop there: "How are people allowed to make up s–t & then [put] quotes around it saying I said that s–t! WTF!!?!" She followed up with: "don't worry. getting 2 the bottom of this s–t. making the liar retract the statement. U can cause ALOT of drama but NOT between me & B!"
By then end of her rant, she seemed to have sorted everything out.

Indeed, according to Love magazine, Miley didn't even discuss Beyonce in her interview, so it seems this was some type of web hoax done by someone with contempt for Cyrus. The editors of the mag also noted that they too are trying to find out where the nasty quotes came from and wanted it to be known that:

It turns out that Miley isn't the only recent victim of Internet trolls trying to put words in her mouth. Just days into the new year and such pranking already seems like it's a trend. Eva Longoria called out Latin Times this week for running a story saying she would be starring in a series of telenovelas and that she landed the job through her boyfriend, president of Televisa, Jose Antonio Baston. The story even had quotes that "Desperate Housewives" alum supposedly gave at a press conference celebrating her new gig. However, it was all phony baloney. There is no new job … or press conference.

And Miley is saying her attack of Beyonce is phony baloney, too. But we'll have to wait for her "2 the bottom of this s–t" to see where it originated. Considering it's a hoax, that may be an impossible task.
