What a tribute! With just months until the release of the final Hunger Games movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Lionsgate exec Tim Palen is sending the series off in a big way.
The photographer and Chief Brand Officer and President of Worldwide Marketing at Lionsgate is debuting a new book, Tim Palen: Photographs From the Hunger Games, which offers a coveted behind-the-scenes look into the making of the big-screen adaptations.
Us Weekly got an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming title, complete with never-before-seen photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, among others. Hitting stores on Monday, June 29, Photographs From The Hunger Games features stunning portraits of the stars as they transform into their characters.
In one such shot, Lawrence, 24, stands still as a team surrounds her to complete the final touches on Katniss Everdeen’s wedding gown. With her brunette locks pulled back, the Oscar winner looks gorgeous in the photo, sporting the ornate Tex Saverio-designed gown that President Snow requires her to wear.
Hemsworth is the focus in another commanding image, staring straight into the camera as he stands in front of an army of Peacekeepers as Gale Hawthorne. Gale famously clashed with Panem’s military forces and stands tall against his offenders.
“The finished product blows me away,” Lawrence says of the book in its foreword. Pre-order Tim Palen: Photographs From the Hunger Games at www.Assouline.com now!
