For her Grammys red carpet debut, "Royals" singer Lorde is looking to zombies and bear-hunting armor for her Grammys style inspiration.

Newcomer Lorde has some pretty freaky ideas for what she'll wear to the Grammys.

The "Royals" singer, 17, has posted several out-of-the-box style inspirations on Instagram, noting that she's brainstorming for the Grammys on Sunday, Jan. 26. Judging by her picks, we think her final decision for the awards show will be the most talked-about outfit of the night.

In one photo, the New Zealand native posted an image of a woman dressed in a black mini dress with a fringed bottom and whited-out eyes. "Brainstorming for Grammys," she wrote, "Can i also have the over-it zombie eyes thankyou"

She also posted a picture of Siberian bear-hunting armor, complete with spikes from head to toe, and said, "Brainstorming 4 Grammys."

Lorde is no stranger to going against the style grain. Whereas other pop stars dress in designer labels, Lorde (real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor) prefers thrift stores. "You can get ten things because everything costs, like, three dollars," she told Teen Vogue. "I like simple clothes, but sometimes I'll go for a goth-witch vibe."

While her moody style may bother some, Lorde is confident in her fashion choices. "The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it strange or intimidating," she told Rolling Stone. "I think my whole career can be boiled down to the one word I always say in meetings: strength."
