Judd Apatow Eviscerates Bill Cosby in Tonight Show Stand-Up Routine: “What Is This About the Raping and the Drugging and the Women?”

Judd Apatow is not Bill Cosby’s friend. The outspoken writer, director, and producer has been slamming the sitcom star since news first broke about his various molestation scandals. And since a newly released deposition has come to light, in which Cosby, 78, admitted to buying drugs to lure women, Apatow hasn’t held back.

On Monday, July 20, the Trainwreck director, 47, did a stand-up routine on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He started off poking fun at his own family (he’s dad to daughters Maude and Iris with wife Leslie Mann), but the routine quickly touched on the once-beloved TV dad’s scandal.

“Cosby is still out on the road. Isn’t that weird? He’s like doing stand-up. What do you think his act is like? Do you think he’s still talking about it?” Apatow quipped, before transitioning into a Cosby impression. “You ever been in trouble with the wife? You ever get into the dog house with the wife?”

Apatow continued using his Cosby imitation, imagining what it was like when Bill’s wife, Camille Cosby, read about the various rape claims against him in the newspaper.

“And my wife, she said to me, ‘What is this in the paper about the raping and the drugging and the women?’ And I said, ‘Do you like your life? Do you like the house, the jet? Then have a cappuccino and shut the fo-que up!’” Apatow declared.

The Golden Globe nominee has been on a crusade against Cosby for months, recently tweeting a New York Post article on July 17 in which a columnist considers whether Cosby is, in fact, a rapist: “I think when a guy puts his penis in you while you are unconscious it is rape. Seems like you might have some issues.”

Cosby’s scandal first came to light last fall when comedian Hannibal Buress called him a “rapist” in his stand-up routine.
