19 Kids & Counting, plus many, many grandkids? Newly-engaged couple Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard, who have yet to share their first kiss, already have babies on their mind.
"Both of us want as many kids as God will give us," Duggar, 22, told ABC News, "and we've talked about adoption." The oldest daughter and fourth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar announced her engagement to Dillard, 25, on Wednesday, April 9.
"My parents have kept popping them out so we'll see how [our] fertility is!" she quipped.
Oh, but these two lovebirds will have to wait!
Michelle and Jim Bob, who along with their 19 children are devout fundamentalist Independent Baptists, have attracted national attention over their stringent rules of courtship. Along with monitoring their daughters' texts from potential suitors, the two also maintain strict boundaries, like always having a chaperone accompany their girls on dates.
With their wedding set for this summer, Duggar and Dillard will be busy planning their big day. "I think it'll probably be a Duggar-sized wedding with lots of friends and lots of family, and everything centered on God," Jill said. "We're looking forward to it!"
The only bittersweet part of getting married is moving out of her parents' Arkansas home. "I won't be right here having late night chats with my [eight] sisters every night," Duggar told ABC News. "But at the same time, Derick is from our area, so we'll live pretty close. We'll still get to see each other!"
