Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but famed jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz says a perfect stone only goes so far.
On Kim Kardashian's 33rd birthday (Oct. 21), the reality star got the surprise of a lifetime when her boyfriend and father to daughter North West (4 months) popped the question on a grand scale.

"First of all, it's a perfect stone, but what makes it perfect is that it comes with so much love," she revealed.
Schwartz didn't go into much detail about West's selection process. When asked if the opinionated rapper was a tough client, she laughed off the question before proceeding inside to the ball.
The production-obsessed emcee recently said that his wedding will be an extravagant affair complete with fighter jets. West has also revealed that Kardashian will change her famous last name to West after they tie the knot.
The proposal at the rented out San Francisco AT&T Park included a live orchestra, several of Kardashian's closest family and friends, and a scoreboard that read, "Pleeease Marry Meee!!!"
