Steve Irwin‘s legacy lives on in his family. The late Crocodile Hunter’s two kids, Bindi and Robert Irwin, along with their mom, Terri Irwin, stopped by Good Morning America on Thursday, March 6, to talk about Bindi’s new partnership with SeaWorld — and even GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts couldn’t help gushing about how mature they looked.

Bindi, 15, and Robert, 10, have indeed grown up since their father’s sudden death in 2006. Both have gone into the family business and are stars in their own right; Bindi has a few books, a TV show, and a couple of film credits under her belt, and Robert is working on his own book series and TV project.

“I’m incredibly proud of them,” Terri said. “They’re just amazing kids, and we’re so blessed to get to continue to do our wildlife work together as a family.”

Bindi’s wildlife work now includes an initiative with SeaWorld called Generation Nature, “which is all about encouraging kids to get involved and be game-changers for wildlife in wild places,” the Australian star told Roberts.

“I’m so excited to be carrying on in dad’s footsteps and making sure that everything he worked so hard for continues for the generations to come,” she added. “That’s why I’m thrilled to be empowering kids, because as kids we are the next generation, we’re the next voters, we’re the next decision-makers, and the next generation to really be changing the world.”

Added her brother: “We’ve always grown up around cameras and around animals, and we absolutely love it. It’s so good to be able to get our message across.”

Their mom thinks so, too. “I think sometimes kids feel like they’re a very small voice in a very big world, and so it’s just awesome to bring penguins along and say, ‘Here’s how you can help,'” Terri explained. “Bindi has a real passion about America, as well. Steve and I did a lot of filming here, and we want to do more for the wildlife in the United States as well as around the world. This is a great way to accomplish that.”
