Tre is a fighter. Teresa Giudice is keeping the faith amid her 15-month prison sentence. In a new Real Housewives of New Jersey special sneak peek, the reality star leans on her faith while her husband, Joe Giudice, takes care of their four children by himself back home.
As exclusively reported in June, Joe signed on to an hour-long Bravo special that will focus on him and his children. Teresa, 43, began her prison sentence on Jan. 5 for fraud, and will get out early before Christmas. After she returns home, Joe will then serve 41 months behind bars for bankruptcy and mail fraud.
In the clip, the patriarch of the family seems to have a hard time juggling all his dad duties. He’s seen cooking, brushing his children’s hair, sending their eldest daughter, Gia, off to a school dance, and successfully stopping 9-year-old Milania from drinking coffee.
“I mean, he’s pretty good,” daughter Gia, 14, tells aunt Melissa Gorga. “He helps out and tries his best. It’s rough without my mom there.” (Teresa and Joe are also parents to Gabriella, 10, and Audriana, 6.)
In one emotional scene, Teresa even calls her family from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn. “Oh, please God bring me home to my family as soon as possible,” she prays. “And bless my four daughters and my husband. Amen.”
Teresa’s relatives are helping Joe during this challenging period, though. Joe even appears to be bonding with his brother-in-law, Joe Gorga, despite their tumultuous past.
“It’s hard keeping up with all these kids. I’m doing a lot. I think I’ve lost about 10 pounds,” Joe says. “It’s just amazing how [Teresa] still controls everything while she’s in there.”
