It’s hard for Justin Bieber to face reality. The young pop star got back in the studio, teaming up with singer/songwriter Poo Bear for a new track about his struggles with real life.
“Hard 2 Face Reality” makes its debut after Bieber, 20, spent the past year making headlines for his controversial, legally questionable behavior around the world and continuing a dramatic relationship with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
“Sometimes it’s hard to face reality / Even though you might get mad at me / Sometimes it’s hard to face reality,” Bieber opens the song. “Don’t be afraid to stand alone / Don’t be afraid to stand outside the door alone / I know it’s hard away from home / It ain’t easy all alone.”
Bieber promoted “Hard 2 Face Reality” this weekend, tweeting after the release of the track, “Big things happening…” He went on to add, “Excited for what is next.”
The Canadian singer released his last official studio album, Believe, in 2012. In the years since, he debuted a collection of one-off songs as the compilation album Journals, and teamed up with other big-name artists including Drake, Ludacris, and R. Kelly.
