Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz Make Rare Joint Appearance at Fundraiser

It doesn't take a superspy to see Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are going strong, but you wouldn't know it by their red carpet track record.

The couple, who surprised many after pulling off a secret wedding in June 2011, have managed to keep their relationship under wraps in a way only James Bond could. In fact, their appearance at Monday's 7th Annual Night of Opportunity Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City marked only their third red carpet appearance together since they tied the knot.

Of course, they both looked smashing as they exchanged warm glances at the fundraiser. Weisz, 44, kept it simple and elegant in a tea-length, ivory dress by Narciso Rodriguez paired with black pumps and a red pucker, while Craig, 46, stood handsomely beside her in a gray suit.

The happy couple were guests of honor for the evening — they were recognized for their work with The Opportunity Network, a non-profit that "levels the playing field for low-income high school and college students by providing access to college and career success," according to its website. Last year, Weisz and Craig made a multi-year commitment to support the organization through charitable giving.

"Some of the brightest, most motivated young people are living in New York City neighborhoods where college seems further away than a foreign country. We want to help give them a passport to a better life," Craig explained in a statement at the time.

While Monday night, along with the 2013 Golden Globe Awards and the premiere of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" in 2012, may be the only times Weisz and Craig have gussied up for the cameras together, it's not the only time we've spotted them. Paparazzi frequently catch them bundled up and walking around in New York City, and they performed on Broadway together last year in a play called "Betrayal."

They haven't said much about their relationship, either, although Craig couldn't contain himself when asked about Weisz by the Telegraph last September. "I'm far happier than I've been for many years," he confessed. "I think finding the right person and being with the right person is probably the answer to most things."

Craig also doesn't see the public's fascination in their lives as a couple. "I think there are far hotter couples out there than Rachel and I — not putting Rachel down in any way, shape or form," he said.

"As far as downsides go, I don't think [the attention] is a big one. It's something we deal with together," she told Marie Claire U.K. in 2012, before swiftly changing the subject.

Weisz has a son, Henry, 7, from her previous relationship with director Darren Aronofsky, and Craig has a daughter, Ella, 22, from a previous marriage. They have no children together.
