“I did not kill my wife,” Affleck says as Dunne in the spooky debut clip. “I am not a murderer.” Set to Elvis Costello‘s cover of the 1970s song “She,” the trailer shows footage of search parties looking for Amy, flashbacks to Amy and Nick’s marriage, and the ensuing media frenzy that follows the case.

“I don’t want to give away too much, because if you know the book, you know that there are set of reveals that you would want to maintain the integrity of,” Affleck told Entertainment Weekly about the thriller. “But I will say that Gillian adapted it and I think it’s very, very faithful to her book. If you read the book and liked it, you will definitely like the movie.”
