Brown water, broken doors and construction? Not at the Radisson Blu Paradise Hotel! While many reports have claimed that the hotel conditions at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia have been less than five star, there’s at least one hotel in the area that delivers VIP treatment. Us Weekly senior reporter Jennifer Peros got an inside look at the Radisson Blu Paradise Resort & Spa from general manager Brian Gleeson.
“We’re very proud of the hotel and the journey its gone through to get it done in time for the Winter Olympics,” Gleeson said of the resort where many high-profile visitors are staying while in Sochi.
Radisson Blu Paradise Hotel features 508 bedrooms, 8 luxury villas, three restaurants, 24-hour coffee shop, 24-hour lobby lounge and bar. But the real highlight and treat for tired athletes? The hotel’s Spa Sibo, which includes 12 treatment rooms. “It’s one of the largest spas in Southern Russia,” Gleeson said.
As for the reports on the bad living conditions in Sochi?
“I’ve heard from people via social media and in news stories just asking, was that my hotel?” Gleeson explained. “But I’ve made sure they all understand it’s not!”
