Mother-daughter bonding! Gwyneth Paltrow and her supportive mother Blythe Danner attended a celebration party at Goop's Pop-Up Shop at Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 6. The ladies posed for a sweet photo together during the event, which gave shoppers the chance to browse through high-end clothes, jewelry, household items, and children's toys.
"She seemed really pleased with how everything looked. She gave hugs to some of the Goop employees and was saying hi to everyone in the store," an onlooker told Us Weekly of Paltrow. "She was very polite and sweet to all the customers."
The Oscar winner, 41, dressed casually in rolled up jeans, a white T-shirt and black blazer for the event. She looked fresh-faced with minimal makeup and accessorized with a gold bangle and matching hoop earrings. Other pals in attendance included Tobey Maguire's wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, and floral designer Eric Buterbaugh.
"Everyone toasted and then sipped their [Veuve Clicquot] champagne together while walking around the store. Gwyneth was in a great mood and very relaxed," the eyewitness added to Us. "She seemed very involved and hands-on with where everything went and how it looked."
This is the first time Paltrow has been photographed with actress Danner, 71, since her "conscious uncoupling" from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin back in March. As exclusively reported, Danner has had a difficult time adjusting to the pair ending their 10-year marriage.
"[She's] really upset. She loves Chris," an insider told Us at the time. "She begged Gwyneth not to end it, that he's a good man. But Gwyneth had to do what she felt was best."
