Consider yourself warned, Washington! First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama told Access Hollywood on Thursday, May 22, that her oldest daughter Malia will be getting her driver's license this summer following her 16th birthday.
"One child is going to be driving this summer," FLOTUS said, joking: "Look out!"
"With Secret Service in the back?" host Billy Bush asked. "We've got a plan," the always-resolute First Lady responded.
Obama divulged more details of this plan last month to Live! co-host Michael Strahan, and said neither she nor the President will be involved with Malia's driving lessons.
"I think our agents don't want us driving with teenagers," she said. "Especially the President's detail. I don't think they want him in the state when she's learning how to drive." Joking, she added to Strahan, "We will, fortunately, be able to hand that responsibility over to someone else."
Malia will celebrate her sweet 16 on July 4, making her eligible for her learner's permit in the District of Columbia. Younger sister Sasha will turn 13 on June 10.
"My youngest loves dancing," Obama said. "She dances in an organized program several times a week, but they’re into what kids are into — they're counting down to summer."
Bush could not resist asking FLOTUS one last question about her daughters' potential dating lives.
"You just want me to get pushed off the Truman Balcony," she quipped. "They're good. The girls are good."
