Tori's spelling it out in her own words. Amid ongoing speculation about her troubled marriage to Dean McDermott, Tori Spelling has signed on to star in yet another reality show, the upcoming Lifetime docu-series True Tori, premiering Tuesday, April 22, at 10 p.m. ET.
The show, which begins filming this week, will "document the couple in almost real-time as the navigate the unknown road ahead, beginning when Dean leaves treatment," a press release about the series stated. (McDermott, 47, entered rehab in January, after Us Weekly exclusively broke news that he had cheated on Spelling, 40, his wife of seven years, with a woman named Emily Goodhand.)
Billed as a "unique television event," the docu-series will "allow the audience to witness the most difficult and unpredictable period in [Tori's] life." As teased in the press release, "only time will tell if Tori and Dean's marriage survives."
"Tori keeps waffling," an insider previously told Us Weekly of the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress. "Even if they reconcile, it's going to be hard to trust him." Another source said, however, that she'll probably let him come home eventually. "Tori doesn't want her kids to grow up without their dad in the house," the insider told Us.
In any case, reality TV is very familiar territory for the couple — parents to Liam, 7, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 19 months. In 2007, they starred in an Oxygen reality show Tori & Dean: Inn Love, about their efforts to run a bed and breakfast in Fallbrook, Calif. That was followed by Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood and Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings.
