Talk about a Happy Ending! On Sunday, May 25, Happy Endings alum Casey Wilson married fiance David Caspe at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California.
“David and I couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate our special day with all of our closest friends and family,” the Hotwives of Orlando actress told Us Weekly in an exclusive statement. “Oprah, sadly, was a no show. (Probably because we’ve never met. Maybe next time?).”
Though Winfrey didn’t show up, Wilson and Caspe did entertain around 170 guests on their big day. They also paid a special tribute to fellow couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, whose mega European wedding weekend stole the show this Memorial Day weekend.
“Congrats Kimye and Cavid!” they captioned a funny photo of the two couples.
“We chose the Ojai Valley Inn because of its beautiful scenery, serene vibe, and its close proximity to nature,” the actress continued.
The couple exchanged their vows in a traditional Jewish wedding service, officiated by her brother, Fletcher Wilson. (The SNL alum is in the process of converting to Judaism.) The actress, who is best known for playing Penny Hartz on the now-cancelled ABC comedy, wore a traditional Monique Lhuillier gown with lace sleeves and Jimmy Choo shoes. She had a piece of her mother’s wedding dress sewn into her own for her “something borrowed.”
Wilson’s eight bridesmaids wore nude floor-length dresses from JCrew, and her Happy Endings costars Elisha Cuthbert, Eliza Coupe, Adam Pally, Zachary Knighton, Damon Wayans Jr., and guest star Abby Elliot all attended.
The entire wedding was planned by Duet Weddings, and the reception featured a live band. The couple’s first song was “In Spite of Ourselves” by Iris DeMent and John Prine.
Guests dined on salmon and short ribs along with plenty of champagne and alcohol.
Tomorrow the happy couple will leave for Italy, honeymooning for two weeks abroad.
This fall Wilson’s new comedy Marry Me, co-starring Ken Marino, will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, and is loosely based on her relationship with Caspe.
