Her No. 1 playmate! Kristen Bell is taking advantage of her free time now that she's done promoting the film adaptation of Veronica Mars and her animated blockbuster hit Frozen. The actress opened up to Us Weekly about returning home after her travels, and how she now has more time to spend with husband Dax Shepard and her favorite gal — daughter Lincoln, nearly 13 months.
"I'm back with baby full-time, which is so nice," Bell, 32, told Us at the Amex Everyday event in NYC on Wednesday, April 2. "I want to be very hands on. I want to cook for my family and feel present for them. I'm always missing her when I'm not there."
Bell and the Parenthood actor, 38, welcomed their baby girl back in March 2013 and exchanged vows seven months later at the Beverly Hills County Clerk's Office on Oct. 16. The couple are are a team when it comes to parenting, but they also hope to work again professionally in the near future. (They previously starred in 2012's Hit and Run, which Shepard also wrote and directed, and 2010's When in Rome.)
"He's been hired to write so many other projects for other people," Bell noted to Us about her beau. "I'm always walking into the room and saying, 'Well hey, if there's a part in there that you could throw the old bags' way that'd be great.'"
"I would of course work with him again in a second," Bell gushed. "He's able to work with his friends and me in a very collaborative way."
No word yet on whether Shepard has written something for his leading lady, so for now, Bell will just have to be content with what he creates in the kitchen. "He does a really mean spaghetti dish. The house shuts down for his spaghetti dish," the actress joked to Us. "The smell comes through the entire home, it may even be better on the second day. He makes it for the week. It's very good."
